AWS VS Google Cloud’s Free Plans

We can see that major cloud service providers offer free trial packages to attract users to experience their products.

This is cost-effective for users as they can test the performance of the products without incurring any costs and then decide whether to continue using them.

In this post, we will compare the cloud product trial qualifications and introductions of two well-known foreign cloud service providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud.

1.Amazon Web Services (AWS):

We can see that AWS has overseas and domestic versions, and here we will focus on the overseas version. It supports applications from individuals and companies and offers over 100 cloud product trial qualifications.

For cloud servers and lightweight servers, they provide a maximum of 12 months of trial packages. However, it should be noted that the trial packages have specific configurations and not all configurations are available for free.

In addition to the free trial qualifications for cloud servers, we can also apply for short-term or permanent trial packages for other cloud products.

During the registration process, we need to provide credit card verification and phone number verification.

2.Google Cloud:

Google Cloud, a cloud product based on Google, is known for its stability and is widely used for overseas foreign trade businesses.

New customers are provided with $300 in trial credits, which can be used to experience over 20 cloud service products, including cloud servers.

Regarding free cloud products and trial credits, the following apply:

1.New Google Cloud and Google Maps Platform users can take advantage of a 90-day trial period, which includes $300 in free Cloud Billing credits, to explore and evaluate Google Cloud and Google Maps Platform products and services. These credits can be used to trial one product or a combination of multiple products.

2.All Google Cloud customers can use selected Google Cloud products within specified monthly usage limits for free, such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery. If you do not exceed the “free tier” limits, these resources will not be deducted from your trial credits or charged to your Cloud Billing account after the trial period ends.

3. Comparison between Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services:
When comparing the free trial servers of Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, we can see that Amazon Web Services provides a more generous offer with a fixed package of 12 months of free trial qualification.

Google Cloud offers $300 in trial credits with a validity period of 90 days, allowing users to choose their own cloud server product configurations.

However, it’s important not to exceed the allocated resources or configuration requirements, as additional charges may apply.

In terms of the number of cloud products, Amazon Web Services provides over 100 cloud service product trials, and some are even free for life, while the trial credits provided by Google Cloud have a specified amount and validity period.
