Preface
Over the past year, I have made several videos about free hosting, and sometimes when collecting materials online, I always want to present them to everyone as quickly as possible.
Of course, I am particularly grateful to my group members who often provide me with leads.
Permanently using free hosting may not be suitable for production environments, but it can be fun to play around with in your free time.
However, I do not recommend hosts like vpsfree.es, which are extremely unstable and frequently delete servers and accounts.
Let’s get to the point.
So far, I have collected the following hosting providers that offer permanent free root access:
1.Hax and Woiden
their websites are respectively: https://hax.co.id/ and https://woiden.id/
Indeed, pure IPv6 hosting is very cheap. Hax and Woiden offer pure IPv6 hosting, and it is now easy to apply for.
You just need to renew the server every 7 days on their website. The servers are relatively stable.
2.free.vps
the website is: https://free.vps.vc/
Similar to Hax, you need to renew the server every 10 days. It is more difficult to apply for compared to Hax because they have fewer machines. The network and hosting are relatively stable.
It is another ideal choice for those who want to play with IPv6 hosting. However, when there are no available machines in the data center, it means there are no machines.
3.Micro and Nano
their websites are respectively: https://microlxc.net/ and https://nanokvm.net/
These two websites offer 1 core with a minimum of 256MB RAM and a maximum of 512MB or 2GB IPv4+IPv6 hosting.
The requirements for application are having an account on lowendtalk.com for at least 3 months and having 50 posts (in English) on the forum. It doesn’t seem too difficult; it just requires some time.
If you have time and don’t want to spend money, you can give it a try. I have also seen some acquaintances start posting, so they are probably preparing to apply.
Additionally, https://portal.freevps.org/ is also a sponsor of LET (LowEndTalk). They require an account that is older than 6 months and has 50 posts.
4.Harbor
the website is: https://my.hrbr.cloud/index.php?rp=/store/v6vps
This is also IPv6-only hosting. It offers 1 core with 512MB RAM and 500GB bandwidth, but it is only available in the central region of the United States. The application process is not difficult, but the setup may take a few hours. Since it is free, don’t expect too much.
Some thoughts
I have carefully studied the profit models of the above websites. The hosting is free, but the websites can still generate revenue.
I have also discussed this with some hosting providers. Websites like Hax have a return on investment of about 10 times each month.
Nano’s main goal is to increase high-quality content on lowendtalk.com, attract free traffic from Google, and make money through sponsorships on the right side. As for free.vps, they have just started and I haven’t seen any advertisements yet.
